Final Cut Pro

Editing with Final Cut Pro

This course is designed for new editors and directors looking to take the first steps into editing. Also suitable for filmmakers with some experience of editing who want to brush up on their techniques. Over the course of two days, you will learn how to digitize, edit, add transitions, titles and utilize effects. Through out the course the tutor will be able to advise students on their own projects and ideas. Experience of Mac OSX is desirable.

Introduction to Final Cut Pro workspace, Capturing, Working with the Canvas window, familiarising yourself with the tools of editing. Working with the Browser. 10am - 4.30pm

Day 2

Re-cap. Adding Transitions. Importing sound. Importing Pictures. Rendering. Titling. Exporting to Tape/DVD/CD-Rom. 10am - 4.30pm
