Productions

OFVM supports local productions through advice surgeries and subsidised equipment hire. We run ‘Reel One’ evenings for local film-makers to network and meet people working in the industry and put on screening events to get local films ‘out there’ to new audiences.

EQUIPMENT HIRE

OFVM hires out equipment at 3 different rates depending on the type of production (access, funded, commercial). A shooting kit includes camera, tripod, external microphone, boom pole and headphones. Contact Gary Shenton on production@ofvm.org for further infromation.

To qualify for the acess rates, or to book lighting equipment you need to take your production via Production Development Manager Gary Shenton contact him on production@ofvm.org

Access rates require a minimum of 2 days hire.
We only hire full shooting kits, not individual pieces of equipment.

All hires need to be booked at least one week in advance.

FILM ONE EVENTS

Come along to one of our regular Film One evenings where we invite speakers from the industry to screen and discuss their work. Recent guests have included: Andrew Lang ? francine Heywood (Sons Of Cuba), Joanna Hogg (Unrelated), Pippa Harris (Away We Go) and Pawel Pawlikowski (My Summer Of Love).

These events are aimed at people working in the industry and emerging film makers.

SCREENINGS

OFVM runs regular ScreenNights in Oxford where we feature work produced on courses as well as short productions supported by the centre. We support the annual OXDOX festival screenings as well as other Oxford festivals taking place throughout the year. Through our link with the Festival Republic, we also promote the cream of local and national shorts at the Reading and Leeds summer music festivals (for submissions for Reading and Leeds, email Geron Swann in contacts)
